Asian Studies Center
Interdisciplinary in focus, the center aims to advance knowledge and raise greater awareness of political, economic, social and cultural developments in Asia among the Georgia State community and Asian Americans in Atlanta and Georgia.
Atlanta Global Studies Center
The center, a joint initiative with the Georgia Institute of Technology, has a mission of enhancing access to advanced language learning and to help deepen knowledge of global and intercultural issues for students, faculty and the public.
Center for Global Information Studies
The center is an interdisciplinary initiative, uniquely positioned to tackle the complex mosaic of global information flows, with scholarly expertise spanning from the Middle East to China, Europe, Russia and the United States. We are also linking theoretical and empirical study with practitioner perspectives, aligning with Atlanta partners at CNN, Carter Center and Georgia Institute of Technology.
Center for International Media Education
The center is dedicated to advancing cooperation, networking, and understanding among media professionals, scholars, educators and students through research, education and service.
Center for Latin American and Latino/a Studies
The center offers students extensive knowledge of Latin America and the Caribbean and their corresponding communities within the United States through academic study, personalized training and research abroad.

Hellenic Studies Center
The center offers the only such program in the Southeast and has developed an extensive network with Greek educational institutions, allowing Georgia State students and faculty to pursue research, archaeological fieldwork and language courses in Greece and Cyprus.

Center for Neuroinflammation and Cardiometabolic Diseases
The center's mission is to promote interdisciplinary research in neuroinflammation, which is recognized as a common factor in the development of diseases ranging from hypertension and obesity to Alzheimer’s disease and depression.

Molecular Basis of Disease (MBD)

Center for High-Angular Resolution Astronomy (CHARA)
The CHARA array of telescopes in California is particularly suited to stellar astrophysics where it is be used to measure the diameters and temperatures of stars, image features such as spots and flares on their surfaces and map the orbits of close binary companions.

The group's research addresses fundamental questions such as the properties of matter a couple of microseconds after the Big Bang, the origin of the proton’s spin and the roles of cosmic ray radiation and its impact on climate and health on Earth.
