Leading to Launch
The Leading to Launch webinar series focuses on the College of Arts & Sciences staff reorganization and serves as an introduction to what's changing in administrative and academic services.
All faculty and staff in the college are invited to join the webinars, unless specified otherwise below. Come meet the teams (virtually) and get better acquainted with their services and any upcoming changes. In particular, department chairs, program directors, department specialists, and team members are encouraged to attend.
Each webinar is scheduled for 45 minutes to one hour, including time for Q&A. The webinars will be recorded for asynchronous viewing. Links to the recorded webinars will be posted below shortly after each session.
THURSDAY, JUNE 3
Team Introduction: Faculty Review Services
Learn more about how we work collaboratively to support faculty advancement in Arts & Sciences. Meet the new Faculty Review Services Coordinator and get a glimpse into targeted areas for improvement in Faculty Review Services. Includes a brief overview of our current services, including support for promotion and tenure, structured reviews, annual reporting, and more.

Department Specialist Orientation
Department specialists are invited for a group orientation to meet colleagues in other departments stepping into the same role. Learn about the functions and expectations of the position; explore ways to collaborate with other department specialists and with colleagues on the teams; and preview upcoming training opportunities.
Attendance is limited to department specialists and team leads.

Team Introduction: Academic Assistance
Learn more about how we work collaboratively to support Arts & Sciences undergraduates to completion of their degrees. Specific topics include undergraduate director liaison, senior academic advisement, course petitions, course permissions, academic honesty, student grievance management, graduation review/clearance, and more.

Learn more about how we work collaboratively to support faculty, staff, graduate assistants, and other employees starting with the hiring/onboarding process and throughout their employment in Arts & Sciences. Specific topics include hire transactions, OneUSG data entry, payroll, employee relations, performance management, position review, and more.

PPGRA Webinar
Learn about our new approach to manage the graduate student appointment process in the college. The new process will go into effect immediately following the webinar (for the August 2021 deadline).
Intended for department chairs; department specialists; graduate directors; and members of the Budget Administration, Financial Planning & Analysis, Human Resources, and Graduate Services teams. Open to all Arts & Sciences faculty and staff.
