Sharon Kim has been teaching English for over 15 years. She has taught EFL and ESL in Australia, Thailand, Korea, and the United States. In 2013, she began teaching in the Intensive English Program at Georgia State University, where she earned her master’s in Applied Linguistics. She enjoys teaching and specializes in advanced academic writing. In the classroom, she is an energetic teacher who is constantly looking for better ways to provide the most optimal learning environment for her students. Outside the classroom, she also enjoys working on her professional development by attending and presenting at TESOL conferences to stay up to date on current research and share her teaching ideas with other professionals. Her main interests are second language acquisition, curriculum development, and teacher training with a focus on reflective teaching. Outside of work, she loves traveling, learning foreign languages, spending time with her dog, and exploring new hiking trails.
