Pat Paterson

Pat Paterson serves as College Business Officer for the College of Arts & Sciences at Georgia State University. He leads the Business Services team, which provides support for business transactions, including purchasing, disbursements, and contracts, for all units in the college. As CBO, Pat coordinates and oversees monthly, quarterly, and annual procurement reporting, including but not limited to open purchase orders, monthly college business transaction reports, and purchase card (Pcard) reports. He monitors purchase orders and voucher/invoice maintenance and is the final approver where needed in the PantherMart, Foundation, and Spectrum systems. Pat also monitors continuous business transactions for efficiency and effectiveness, as well as the delivery of customer service from the team.

Pat is the main point of contact for escalated issues from the departments regarding business transactions and unresolved issues. In addition, he develops recommendations and works with the college's Director of Operations and Administration on policies, process improvement, workflows, and training for all Business Services functions.
