Mrs. Kemetta G. Burdette

- Mrs. Kemetta Burdette is a native of Atlanta, GA. She joined the Army National Guard in May 2002 and received her commission in December 2004 as a Military Intelligence Officer branch detailed Chemical Corp from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA. She entered active duty and served as a Gold Bar Recruiter for the Eagle Battalion before going to her first duty station in Gieblestadt, Germany. She served with the 5/158th Aviation Regiment, 1st Armor Division before moving with the unit as the reflagged under 2-1 GSAB, 1st Infantry Division. She deployed twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (2007-2008) and Operation New Dawn (2010-2011). Mrs. Burdette has had a myriad of active duty assignments to include Giebelstadt, Germany, Fort Riley, KS., Fort Huachuca, AZ., PACOM Joint Intelligence Operations Center (JIOC) in Pearl Harbor, HI., and Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) Jacksonville, FL. She is concurrently a drilling Reservist with the 2500th Military Intelligence Group (MIG) and a recent graduate of the Command and General Staff College in Leavenworth, KS.Mrs. Burdette holds a B.S. in Justice Studies from Georgia Southern University, an M.B.A. from the University of North Dakota (Bismarck), and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.Mrs. Burdette’s awards include Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Achievement Medal, Army Reserve Component Commendation Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal (with 1 Bronze Service Star), Overseas Service Ribbon (4), German Efficiency Badge (Gold).Mrs. Burdette and her husband Dennis Burdette reside in Lithonia, GA. They have one daughter.
