Research in Progress
"Evaluating the Impact of Course-based Undergraduate Research Experiences (CUREs) Upon Student-reported Science Identity and STEM Confidence" (On-Going)
We are analyzing how participation in research experiences, within a course-based context, affects students' sense of their own ability to succeed in science and in research. Along with this, we are also considering students' sense of themselves as scientists through participation in CUREs.
"Teaching Using Primary Literature and Case Studies" (On-Going)
Primary responsibilities include the development of appropriate lessons and assessments using primary literature, case studies and development of novel case studies. Additional responsibilities include sharing of observations via talks at conferences with the goal of publishing such information in educational journals.
