Marvin Tingler is the Assistant Dean for Administration and Finance for the College of Arts & Sciences. A member of the dean’s cabinet, Tingler leads the administrative and financial service operations of the College of Arts & Sciences. He oversees the college’s business services, grants and contracts, budget and finance, human resources, facilities, and IT service teams, ensuring smooth operations and professional support for all units of the college.

Prior to his current role at Georgia State, Tingler served for 21 years in various positions at Georgia Tech, including as Director of Finance and Administration for the Scheller College of Business.

Tingler is a Georgia State University alumnus, having earned MBA and M.S. degrees in finance from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business. He also holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech.
