Lyshandra Holmes currently serves as the department of communication’s grant coordinator, after a stint as the front office manager. In particular, she is currently closely connected to providing support for grants relating to the work of an urban debate league in Milwaukee.
Holmes earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgia State University in 2002, connected to a double major in accountancy and hospitality management. In October 2006, Holmes received an MBA in marketing from Mercer University.
Prior to her work in the department of communication, Holmes held positions with Georgia Community Support and Solutions, SWI Consulting, and the Cobb Museum of the Arts. At GSU, Holmes has taken the lead in organizing several of the department’s most significant efforts, including considerable oversight of the annual Awards Banquets and significant involvement in departmental work to strengthen ties with departmental alumni.
