Lauren Peterson
Visiting Lecturer Drawing, Painting and Printmaking- Biography
Lauren Peterson is a multi-disciplinary artist living in Atlanta, Georgia. Fascinated by the residual, her work focuses on the cultural production of waste, planned obsolescence, and the potential ontological ramifications of a consumption-based society. Trained as a printmaker at Towson University in Maryland, Peterson received her Bachelors of Art in 2007. She received her Masters of Fine Art in Drawing, Painting, Printmaking from Georgia State University in 2015. Peterson’s work has been exhibited in the Aqua Art Miami Fair, at the GAIA Center in Athens, Greece, and is part of the permanent collection of the High Museum in Atlanta, Georgia. She currently teaches printmaking and foundations at Georgia State University.
