- Biography
Kelsey Fritz is currently the Museum and Guest Services Director at the Center for Puppetry Arts where she oversees their exhibitions and public programs. Prior to this, she was the Exhibitions Director at The Atlanta History Center where she oversaw the development and installation of new permanent and rotating/travelling initiatives, including the relocation and reinterpretation of the Cyclorama and its related exhibits and the new exhibit showcasing Atlanta’s roll in the 1996 Olympic and Paralympic games. This is Fritz’s second tenure at the Center for Puppetry Arts, prior to her time at the History Center, Fritz worked as the Exhibition Director at Puppetry Arts and managed their 2015 expansion project which included, building a new museum facility, renovating collections storage spaces, and managing the acquisition of over 400 objects from the Jim Henson Collection (maker of the Muppets you see on shows like Sesame Street). Fritz earned an MA in History and Public History from American University in Washington DC, and she remains connected to the local public history community by serving as an adjunct faculty member with Georgia State University, where she earned her BA in History.
