Kali Nyima Cape, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at Georgia State University. She received her Ph.D. in Buddhist Studies at the University of Virginia, her master's degree in Sino-Tibetan Studies at the University of Virginia and her bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in gender studies from the University of San Diego. Her research focuses on women in Tibetan Buddhism. Her research has been funded by the Tsadra Foundation, Fulbright-Hays and Ford Foundation Fellowship.

Buddhist philosophy. Tibetan and Chinese religions. South Asia and East Asia. Women, gender and sexuality. Asian diaspora in the contemporary period. Buddhist psychology, trauma and resilience. Hagiography. Contemplative studies. Feminist theory and post-colonial theory.
