- Biography
Hélène Goarzin is currently doing her PhD in US history and will graduate from Rennes 2 University, France in 2016. Her thesis focuses on the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement in the South on the women’s movement at the end of the 1960s and throughout the 1970s. She received a contract with the Institut des Amériques in Paris to do her research at Georgia State University. She is a visiting scholar at GSU as well as the delegate for the institute. The Institut des Amériques is an interdisciplinary network of advanced studies and research in the humanities and social sciences that started in France in 2007.
