- Biography
Hanna Lisa Stefansson (Ph.D., University of Georgia) is a pianist and composer of electronic and acoustic music, with expertise in sound spatialization and extensive experience in creative media collaboration. Recent projects include music and sound design for puppetry theater, short film, and an installation performed at the Center for Puppetry Arts (Xperimental Puppetry Theater). She earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Georgia (Music Composition and Theory, 2017), a Master of Music degree from Georgia State University (Music Composition, 2011), and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University (Piano Performance, 2005). Prior to joining CMII, Hanna Lisa taught music technology, theory, and composition at Georgia State University’s School of Music and served as the Area Coordinator of the Music Technology program.
