- Biography
Dr. Erin Tone is an associate professor and licensed psychologist in the Department of Psychology at Georgia State University. She earned her undergraduate degree in English and German Literature at Emory University, completed an M.A. in School Psychology at Trinity University, and holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Emory University. She completed her predoctoral internship at the Emory University School of Medicine and a postdoctoral fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. Daniel Pine at the National Institute of Mental Health, where she was awarded the Richard J. Wyatt Memorial Fellowship Training Award.
Dr. Tone has published over 70 articles in peer-reviewed journals; these include Psychological Bulletin, JAMA Psychiatry, American Journal of Psychiatry, Biological Psychiatry, Journal of Abnormal Child Psychology, Development and Psychopathology, and Journal of Anxiety Disorders. She serves on the editorial boards of theJournal of Family Psychology, Clinical Psychology: Science and Practice, and Development and Psychopathology. In addition, Dr. Erin Tone has served on committees for the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA) and has received awards from ADAA and the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ACNP). Dr. Tone’s research on anxiety has been funded by ADAA and the National Institute of Child Health and Development (NICHD).
