- Biography
Dr. Chuan Lin received her Ph.D. from University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. Her research focuses on Chinese language pedagogy and second language acquisition. Particularly, she is interested in leaners’ motivation of learning Chinese. She received her M.Ed. in International Education from Peabody College, Vanderbilt University; she later received her M.A. in Chinese language pedagogy from University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. Before joining Georgia State University, Dr. Lin taught all levels of Chinese language courses at Georgetown University for three years and at University of Hawai’i at Mānoa for five years. She also taught summer intensive programs for Princeton in Beijing (PiB), as well as Chinese School at Middlebury College.
