1LT Ethan A. Gant is from McDonough GA. He attended Clayton State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice concentrated in Homeland Security. He received his commission as a Second Lieutenant in December 2016 from Georgia State University.
1LT Gant’s first assignment was with 1st Battalion 64th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division in December 2017 at Fort Stewart, GA. He served as a Platoon Leader and deployed in support of the South Korea Regionally Aligned Forces (RAF) mission in 2018.
In January 2019 1LT Gant earned increase responsibility and became the Executive Officer of Bravo Company 1st Battalion 64th Armor Regiment. After a very successful tenure in Bravo Company as the Executive Officer 1LT Gant became the Executive Officer of the Headquarters Company in the same Battalion in May 2020.
1LT Gant is now the Assistant Professor of Military Science (APMS) of the Georgia State Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program. He is currently the primary instructor of the junior level course curriculum.
1LT Gant is a graduate of the Armor Basic Officer Leaders Course (ABOLC), Army Reconnaissance Course (ARC), and Master Educator Course (MEC). His awards and decoration include the Army Commendation Medal, 2 Army Achievement Medals, Order of the Silver Spur, and the Order of Saint George.
