NON-DEGREE & TRANSIENT ADMISSION
The College of Arts & Sciences provides the opportunity for students who are not in direct pursuit of a graduate degree to take courses in some departments. Applicants seeking the status of non-degree or transient student are subject to the same fees and application restrictions of other applicants, although departmental standards for admission may vary.
Non-Degree
Non-Degree status is for applicants that have completed the baccalaureate degree and are looking to take a few graduate courses. Non-Degree students are allowed to take a maximum of 9 graduate credit hours. Applicants with a baccalaureate degree wishing to take undergraduate courses should apply for Post-Baccalaureate status through Undergraduate Admissions. The Non-Degree application requires the following:
- Online application
- Application fee
- Transcripts from each institution attended
- List of courses desired
Transient
Transient status is for students currently enrolled in a graduate program outside of Georgia State University seeking to take a few courses at Georgia State University. The Transient application requires the following:
- Online application
- Application fee
- Letter of good standing from home institution
- List of courses desired
Application Deadlines for Non-Degree & Transient Admissions:
- Fall Semester: June 15
- Spring Semester: December 1
- Summer Semester: May 15
