“My time here has stood out because I’ve learned so much and the faculty has continued to guide me and mentor me. I remember coming in 2019 and not knowing what to do and now I’m graduating. It’s a really pleasant experience. Here you feel like everyone is family. After my thesis, a lot of doors opened for me. I’ve already accepted a job as a research specialist at Emory."

"I've met so many friends that will continue to be a part of my life in the future. My favorite memories at Georgia State come from being a part of the Panther Band Color Guard. There is no other place that I would rather be, even when the practices are long, and rehearsal gets tough. After graduation, I will be taking a semester off to focus on myself and at the same time, preparing to go into a masters program in fall, 2023.”

“I greatly enjoyed my time as a PhD student at Georgia State. The Psychology department has been supportive of my growth as an academic and as a scientist. After graduation, I’ll be starting a position as a post-doctoral scholar at the California National Primate Research Center at UC Davis, studying titi monkeys, pair-bonding, and hormonal mechanisms of behavior and cognition.”

“Moving to a new city and starting my classes remotely was challenging, but I stuck with it, and Georgia State and the Department of Geosciences made the transition easy. Throughout the past two years, I have interacted with important people in my field and made connections that will last me a lifetime. These experiences have all set me up for success. After I graduate this month, I plan to move to Washington, D.C., to work in energy efficiency and building decarbonization.”
