Sandra L. Dwyer has been recognized for her teaching with a Georgia State University Award for Outstanding Instructional Effectiveness (20165), a CETL mini-grant for work on “flipping” a core curriculum course (2016), and a finalist for the American Philosophical Association Prize for Excellence in Philosophy Teaching (2017). She has offered countless workshops and interviews regarding teaching excellence and graduate teacher training across the country. Sandy currently coordinates graduate student teachers for the Department of Philosophy, is co-author with Dr. George Rainbolt of Critical Thinking: The Art of Argument (Wadsworth/Cengage, 2012; 2d edition, 2014), and author of Thinking Ethically in Business (Humanities Insights ebook, 2009). She looks forward to getting back to her work on the philosophy of Hannah Arendt.
