Lauren Ekeleme
Lauren Ekeleme is an honors sophomore chemistry major with a concentration in biochemistry. After graduation in 2020, Lauren will go on to graduate school to concentrate in research. She is currently a Chemistry Teaching Assistant for Dr. Nilma Fernando where she assists students in the synthesis of several forms of cobalt-amino complexes. She also a Teaching Assistant for Dr. Thomas Robilotto where she assists the students with the identification of unknown organic acids. She is also a First Year Residential Experience (FYRE) Mentor for GSU housing. As a FYRE mentor, she provides academic assistance for students in their first year at Georgia State. Lauren is interested in South Korean culture and spends some of free time learning Hangul, watching Korean dramas and listening to K-pop.
