Jonathan Viswasam
Although he was born in the Lone Star state, Jonathan has lived in places such as Singapore, Kuwait, and India during his childhood giving him an international perspective from an early age. While living in those countries, he saw differences in the quality of health which pushed him towards a career in the health sciences.
Admitted to GSU as both a Netzel Scholar and a Second Century scholar, Jonathan is currently majoring in biology. With 34 AP credits as an incoming freshman, he was able to further develop his mathematical skills in order to prepare for the quantitative side of the health sciences. Jonathan’s long-term goal is to obtain a PhD in public health.
In addition to academics, Jonathan volunteers with Literacy Action, an organization that helps nontraditional students improve their reading, writing, and math skills.
