Prestigious Fellowships Will Fund Faculty Work

Three College of Arts and Sciences professors have received Provost’s Faculty Fellowship Awards to fund projects in their fields.

Provost Risa Palm selected the winners in consultation with a distinguished group of Georgia State University faculty. The fellowships are among the most prestigious offered by the university and focus on work in the arts and humanities.

Each award includes a $25,000 grant to help pay for the creation of a book or project.

Recipients include:

-Professor Stephen Dobranski, of the Department of English, who is writing a book called “Milton’s Visual Imagination.”

-Professor Pam Longobardi, of the Ernest G. Welch School of Art and Design, who is is doing a project titled “Drifters Project A.SHO.RE.”

-Assistant Professor David Sehat, of the Department of History, who is writing a book called “Founders Chic: A History.”
