Exchange Programs

Exchange programs allow students to spend a semester or academic year at a partner university abroad. Students travel on their own, take classes with local students, and experience life in another country. GSU program directors assist students with preparations, but exchange students are expected to be much more independent.

Financial aid and scholarships can be used to pay for official exchange programs. Though classes are taken abroad, students earn resident credit. Please see the list of international programs offered to students by the College of Arts & Sciences below.

Can’t get away for an entire semester but want to be involved? Why not volunteer to be a buddy for an incoming international exchange student? Find out more and apply for the Buddy Program online!
