To provide you with the most personalized admissions information and processes, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions created information based on specific types of students.  Please click this area and select the appropriate link based on who you are.

High School Students

Students who have (or will have) graduated from high school and never enrolled in a college or university, unless during joint enrollment in high school.

Transfer Students

Students who graduated from high school and have attended a regionally accredited college or university.

International Students

Students who have been educated outside the U.S or students who are not United States citizens

Re-entry Students

Students who previously attended Georgia State University but have not completed any coursework at Georgia State for at least three semesters.

Non-traditional Students

Students who have graduated from an accredited high school or earned their GED and have not been enrolled in college within the past five years.


Transient Students

Students who are enrolled at a regionally accredited institution in the United States and wish to attend Georgia State for credits toward a degree back at their home institution.

Postbaccalaureate Students

Students who have already completed a bachelor’s degree and wish to enroll in undergraduate courses at Georgia State in a non-degree seeking program.

GSU-62 Students

Students who are 62 or older and are Georgia residents who wish to enroll in various classes or earn a degree

Georgia State now offers three residential complexes: University Commons, the University Lofts, and the newly opened Freshmen Hall. For our students who live off-campus, as well as our residents, we offer numerous services to make your time downtown as productive and safe as possible. University Housing

Georgia State students can truly call Atlanta “home” by living in our on-campus residences. Enjoy the convenience of living just a few blocks from classes, dining halls, the recreation center and the library.

Off-Campus Housing

Parking & Transportation

Georgia State offers several options for traveling to and from campus: driving to campus and parking on-site, driving to an off-site parking area, and discounted monthly MARTA and GRTA cards.

Student Recreation Center

Whether you're looking to stay in tip-top shape or simply to unwind, Georgia State's Rec Center offers state-of-the-art facilities and a variety of classes.

Student Handbook

The Student Handbook is published by the Division of Student Affairs to provide information about campus resources, student life and university procedures.


The official Georgia State University identification card is also used as a library card, an access card to some campus facilities, and a debit card (PantherCash).


PantherCash is a debit account linked to your PantherCard. You may use PantherCash for various purchases and transactions with a swipe of your card. Learn how to open an account.

Georgia State houses two libraries, University and Law. The libraries offer a variety of research tools and services, many of which can be accessed from your home or dorm room!


EndNote is a program for managing bibliographic citations. It can automate much of the work of organizing and formatting citations and bibliographies in your writing.

FindIt (SFX)

Find It (SFX) helps you determine if the library provides access to journals and articles online or in print and saves you from having to hunt through various web sites and article databases.

Books 24x7

Books24x7 provides web-based digital technical and business reference content, containing 1700+ digitized reference books, journals, research reports and documentation.
